Velvet Cap is a small batch blend of malt and grain whiskies aged for not less than three years in a selection of bourbon stouted rye port casks. Velvet caps were traditionally worn by jockeys in point-to-point racing, dating from 1752. Riders raced over fence and ditch between two churches -- from one steeple to another -- hence the term steeplechase. Display Tubes/Boxes: Display boxes subject to availability. Display boxes are shipped separately from the bottles which is the reason for the extra cost.
