My granddaddy, Booker, liked big, bold whiskey flavors born in the center of the rackhouse. Age - 8 years 10 months 11 days This release tells the story of some particularly well-traveled barrels. Afew years ago, we celebrated a big milestone: the 30th anniversary of Booker's. To mark the occasion, we released an extra special batch. Then we sent those used barrels down to our friends the Camarenas in Jalisco, Mexico. They used the barrels to age a special batch of their own: the 85th anniversary edition of the exceptional El Tesoro tequila. Now, exchanging barrels isn't anything new; there's a time-honored practice of collaboration between distilling families. But here's where it gets really interesting. Those very same barrels, richly seasoned with agave, eventually made their way back to us here in Clermont. We hand-selected a batch of Booker's to finish in them, creating a bourbon finished in tequila barrels with a story as unique as its flavor. From Kentucky to Jalisco and back again, we raise a glass , cheers and salud.
