Distilled: Bardstown Kentucky Batch Size: 15 barrels at a time Filtration: Non-Chill Filtered Color: The long aging process is shown in the deep reddish-mahogany apperance, highlighted with bursts of golden-yellow light. Nose: The rich aroma is warm, offering notes of caramel, oak char, and a deeper scent of dark charries. Taste: Flavors of toasted oak, dark fruit, and rye spice open the palate. Subtle notes of corn, caramel, and tobacco are present but fold into the deep age of this bourbon well. Finish: The long finish rolls along with toasted grains, oak, and a peat-like smokiness that lingers on the palate.
