In my role as Master Blender, I closely monitor all our whiskies from their unception. I'll code the barrels - so that they are untouched by anyone but me - and nurture these select whiskies, personally their progress through years of sampling, combining, and quality control. When their maturation is complete, i handpick the spirits that are to be used in the Crown Royal Reserve blend. As Master Blender and a loyal Crown Royal enthuslast, I am one tough customer less than 1% of all barrels display the body and taste needed for achieving the Reserve blend's exceptional depth of character. The result is my gift to all other Crown Royal enthusiasts a creamy, rich, reserve-grade blend flush with the sharp, clove and cinnamon top-notes of rye and anchored in the smooth, nutty batch base that is the cornerstone of all our blends. Mixed or straight, let your personal tastes guide you. I enjoy wine with a splash of water but some say i'm a purist.
