Product Description

In 1968, my father, George S Grant, decided to bottle a cask of Glenfarclas at natural strength as a Christmas gift for family and friends. The strength of that single cask was 105 British proof - so Glenfarclas 105 was born. We still select some of the finest casks from our warehouses and vat them together - without adding water - to give a constant strength of 60%. And today, Glenfarclas 105, the world's first commercially available cask strength whiskey, is just as smooth as ever. Glenfarclas 105 is dry and assertive, with a rich spiciness that combines with hints of oak and sherried fruit to create a perfect warming dram. In short, all the great flavours of Glenfarclas in one glass. Display Tubes/Boxes: Display boxes subject to availability.

Sponge cake and baked goods, onto a fruity palate with stewed orchard fruit and caramel.

Clean and fresh nose of chamomile flowers with some green notes. Interesting spiced palate for a Speyside Malt with coffee fudge and honey notes.
Whisky Advocate · David Fleming · 2021
Sweet scents of Boston cream pie, citrus, and fresh forest, growing more fragrant as the liquid rests in the glass. … The mouthfeel is creamy and concentrated, and the finish is like a rich, full, spiced chocolate dessert.

Brimming with distillery character. Gentle malty notes come through initially, accompanied by apple core and classic ‘Farclas weight. … In time there's some orange marmalade, and this bittersweet element helps to add another layer of complexity. … Highly recommended.
Wine Enthusiast · Kara Newman · December 2021
The assertive palate goes big on a bold caramel flavor spiced with cinnamon and cayenne, plus a hint of mesquite smoke on the exit. Adding water integrates those flavors into a spiced caramel-apple effect.

Nut-colored, it has a markedly bold toffee aroma and lots of flavor and drama. … Though it needs more than a splash of water to arrive at a nuanced sippability, don't hold that against this almost Bourbon-like beauty.
ReviewJune 2006wineenthusiast.com ↗
The alluring opening aroma offers scents of plum pudding, mince pie and dark caramel … The entry is prickly, but sweet and sappy … Concludes with deep flavors of sweet oak, toffee and butter cream. Luscious.
Distiller · Stephanie Moreno
The whisky is actually much gentler than you'd think. The nose is full of dark honey, pear, popcorn kernels, and butterscotch. The taste is intense and spicy before mellowing with char smoke around the ring of the whisky.

World Whiskies Awards judges · Bronze · 2026
The nose has golden syrup, tangerines, orange zest, ginger biscuits and sultanas. The palate is lively with black pepper, ginger beer, dried mango, tropical fruit and bitter almonds.
