The Guaycura Indians drank Damiana Liqueur in their centuries old ceremonies, and according to ancient legend it had such incredible power that the indian cheftains banned its consumption. Traditional wedding custom, still practiced today, directs that the mother-in-law present the bride with Damiana Liqueur on the day of her wedding in hopes of many fine grandchildren.
