This release belongs to the second series from Hardin's Creek: an exploration of how a whiskey is shaped by the warehouse it calls home. Identical mashbills were spread across our Clermont Campus, placed in warehouses of varying heights, ages and microclimates, and left to mature for over 11 years. This particular whiskey rested in Warehouse W. For almost a century, Warehouse W has sat sturdy in its creekside location, its dense, five-floor construction enveloped in the humidity of the surrounding air. It feels like the kind of place you might find a familiar creature, the North American Beaver, setting up a lodge built to last where the stream cuts through the forest. Tasting Notes Some people have remarked this whiskey is lighter on the oak and smoke than others in the series, instead leading with sweet aromatics - but we'd suggest you take a sip and decide for yourself.
