OMIWA SHRINE is one of the oldest shrines in Japan and the protector of alcohol-producing families. It is located in the ancient capital of Nara. Amid a dense forest of Yoshino Sugi-the Japanese cedar, which for centuries is being used to make casks for aging alcohol and home to thousands of Sakura trees., planted long ago by the priests to worship nature. Inspired by the timeless traditions of Nara and sacred Sakura tree which symbolizes the fragility of life with its beautiful yet short-lived blossom. We skillfully blend the finest malt whiskies from Japan with our reserve of malt whiskies, and mature for a second time in Japanese cedar and later in Sakura tree casks to create a perfectly smooth blend with a scent of sandalwood and a zest of wild cherry in the finish.
