Our mash bill is always 100% malted barley, and we use fresh spring water from the local mountains. We distill our whiskies in hand hammered copper pot stills imported from Scotland, age them a minimum of four years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and finish them in a variety of esteemed casks sourced from all over the world, as well as right here in Virginia. Blue Ridge Toasted Barrel Finish. This is the quintessential expression of a Blue Ridge Mountain Single Malt Whisky. This whisky is aged for several years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in virgin toasted oak barrels handcrafted using trees from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
