Persisting through a dynamic climate across four seasons. Virginia Distillery Company produces world class single malt whisky. Our mash bill is always 100% malted barley, and we use fresh spring water from the local mountains. We distill our whiskies in hand hammered copper pot stills imported from Scotland, age them a minimum of four years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and finish them in a variety of esteemed casks sourced from all over the world, as well as right here in Virginia. Cider cask finish. This American Single Malt Whisky spends several years aging in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, before robust finishing in luscious French calvados casks, premium Virginia cider barrels, and Laird's Apple Brandy barrels. The resulting whisky reveals aromas of honeysuckle, green apple and pear, while baked apple and cinnamon dance brightly on the palate.
