This Single Malt Whisky showcasts aromas of bright citrus, apricot, and butterscotch. On the palate, peach cobbler, melted vanilla ice cream and tart cherries mingle with rich milk choclate, leading into a soft and lingering ginger spice finish. Our late founder, Dr. George G. Moore, had a vision of producing world class single malt whisky in America. With his untimely passing, his wife and son inherited his vision, and are compelled by George's often used expressions, "Have the courage of your convictions." Using the highest quality malted barley and fresh spring water fed from the Blue Ridge Mountains, our spirit developes in Virginia's dynamic climate, allowing the broad temperature shifts to add depth to our whisky. Double Cask Reserve features whiskies that are individually aged for a minimum of five years in first-fill ex-bourbon caks and first-fill European red wine STR casks.
