Product Description

Aged 7 years in small batches. I spent a good deal of my life up at the Clermont, KY Distillery -- for a time, I even lived up in a house right there on the grounds. This land has been home to Jim Beam Spirits for nearly a hundred years. Now, we make our special small batch bourbons here, too. Carrying on the legacy of fine, homemade bourbon that's been a part of this family for seven generations. I'm proud to have my name on a piece of that legacy, a single barrel bourbon good enough to drink neat.

Full flavour of chocolate nut, vanilla fudge and bitter almond. Lots of power on the palate too, somewhat earthy with dark chocolate, cinnamon and cubeb pepper. The dense structure finishes in a great, complex finish.

Intense with a high alcohol content and yet finely structured aromas. Nectarine, espresso, pipe tobacco and vanilla can also be found on the expressive palate. Slightly chilli-like spiciness towards the intense finish.

Very typical with rye bread, American oak and pepper. An oily mouthfeel with beautiful spiciness fills the chest area pleasantly on the finish. Spicy basic structure with a multi-layered character.

The palate comes across really dense and chewy with dark berries and sweet prune notes, laced with licorice and cinnamon spice. The dark fruit flavors feel lush and decadent, while drying oak lends lovely maturity and polish.
Rich, multi-layered nose: vanilla, cornmeal, berries (black raspberries, wineberries), and broad-shouldered oak. … Mature, complete bourbon with a 7 year age statement, and a real sleeper in the Small Batch Collection.
Wine Enthusiast · Kara Newman · September 2014
It has a mild maple scent and complex layers of vanilla, cigar wrapper, tea and orange peel, with a spicy finish. The alcohol feels moderate, even mellow, for over 100 proof.

Nose is nutty with butterscotch, leather and orange. Palate has a very interesting sweet/spicy battle going on with a middle of tongue burn. Expect leather, orange, black peppercorn, vanilla and cinnamon. Moderate finish continues with cinnamon, caramel and more orange.

At seven years old and 107-proof, it's bold and spicy without being overpowering. Vanilla and a bit of char show up initially on the palate … It's well-balanced with a lot of character and a full body …

Bright and lively aromatic hints of ruled fruit and caramel lead to a palate with bold, fruity notes and a subtle medicinal edge. The complexity carries through to a smooth, lingering finish with classic warmth.

A medley of stewed and dried fruit notes supported by decedent notes of dark chocolate, leather and coffee. The palate is rich and rounded with a long finish.

A toasted nut and honeyed nose, gentle, with hints of lightly warmed fruits and creamy vanilla that delivers complexity and earthy notes on the palate.

Richly chocolatey and boldly viscous with milky coconut and floral hints. Very dry with lifted citrus and pronounced herbal pepperiness on the extended finish.

Flavoursome and expressive with sweet nut, toffee and sandalwood flavours. Bright peach aromas lift the character and balance the richer palate. A long, evolving finish with wood and spices.
