What critics and judges wrote
This is the world’s first Indian wine cask-finished whisky … The jammy autumnal fruits are immediate and compelling on the palate … with Asava, Rampur has beautifully captured the spirit of Indian whisky.
It’s impressively moreish, mouth-filling, and rounded, with red fruits, melted chocolate, bramble, savory notes, peppercorn, and cassis. The dry finish brings dark fruit, spice, and chocolate. Utterly gorgeous.

A deeply satisfying and fragrant whisky finished in Indian cabernet sauvignon casks, producing a nose of damsons, a thick layer of aromatic spices, vanilla essence, pipe tobacco, and black currant.
Aromas of honey, under ripe stone fruit, marzipan, spearmint and green tea, and red flowers and baking spice … Savory and spicy up front with complex fruit and nut flavors dancing on the palate.
