Product Description

During the maturation process, bourbon develops its character. Charred oak barrels lend color and flavor as the raw whiskey inside concentrates losing a portion of the liquor to evaporation. Long ago, master distillers dubbed this elusive portion the Angel's Share. Therein lies the sercret to exquisite bourbon. Lincoln Henderson has spent his life's work perfecting this important step-manipulating humidity, searching out the best oak, shunning the rigidity of tradition to create not a batch, but an ever-evolving Expression. A beautiful, mouthwatering newcomer to the whiskey scene. … this golden amber spirit is finished in Port barrels, which explains those juicy red-fruit notes that slide into the long finish. Look for orange peel, vanilla and roasted nut flavors, too.

Luxe and velvety, this port-finished Bourbon shows bold caramel and toffee up front, morphing into notes of sherry, honey and rounded red fruit. Plush and very soft, it needs little more than an ice cube.

Richly textured, silky, and well-rounded, with ripe berried fruits, candied tangerine, light toffee, maple syrup, and creamy vanilla, sprinkled with spice (cinnamon, hint of mint). … My only gripe: why not 45 or 50% ABV? But I'm splitting hairs.

Nose is full of vanilla and NYC street-cart sugar-roasted nuts. Caramel-covered raisins dipped in maple syrup and a hint of corn is found on the palate. The finish brings more raisins with bit of heat and sweet.
