Orphan Barrel At Orpahn Barrel, we pride ourselves in rescuing lost barrels of rare and delicious whiskeys, hidden away and long forgotten in storehouses. While we take craft and quality seriously, we had a little fun bringing these extraordinary whiskeys to life with each of our marques. Every Orphan Barrel whiskey is meticulously bottled with pride, to ensure that these rare whiskeys are treated with the care they deserve -- because once they're gone, they're gone forever. Bottled with pride in Bardstown. Sediment from the barrels may be present in this non-chill filtered bourbon. Fanged Pursuit Hailing from Kentucky's Bourbon heartland, this exquisite non-chill filtered 17-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey delights with aromas of vanilla, red cherries, and honey. On the palate, notes of toasted oak, orchard fruits and spices are pursued by a velvety mouthfeel. Aged to perfection in charred American Oak Barrels for 17 years, this expression captures the patient yet daring spirit of the line Kentucky bobcat.

Critic reviews and blind-tasting competition results for this bottle.
The first non-chill filtered Orphan Barrel release is well aged and decidedly barrel forward, … Over time, the oak takes center stage and overwhelms some of the softer flavors. The finish is oaky, tannic, and long lasting.
