Product Description

Inspired by the historic Stitzal-Weller Distillery, EST. 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky. Renowned home of the world's finest bourbons. Crafted with carefully selected straight bourbon whiskies including the last remaining bourbon ever produced at Stitzel-Weller. The five keys of Blade & Bow hung on the front door of the iconic Stitzel-Weller Distillery. These heavy brass keys represented the five steps of crafting bourbon and symbolized the art of making the world's finest whiskies. Aged in charred American white oak barrels to create a whiskey with notes of sweet toasted cereal, warm winter spice and dried fruits. Matured using the rigorous Solera aging method, preserving our rarest whiskey stocks and the spirit of Stitzel-Weller.

What critics and judges wrote

Wine Enthusiast · Kara Newman · September 2016
Add a bit of water and this light, silky sipper unfolds layers of vanilla, almond and oak. It finishes light with a hint of dried apricot and a flourish of baking spice.

This blend of straight bourbons offers vanilla on nose and palate, leading into almond and a hint of dried apricot. … Overall, it's a light-handed and pleasing take …
Whisky Advocate · Julia Higgins · 2023
Ripe red berries on the nose make for a vibrant and inviting introduction. … Lovely spice on the lush palate, and more cherries, this time baked into a tart topped with vanilla ice cream.

Orchard fruit (orange, apricot, pear) on the front of the palate, segueing to honeyed vanilla, dried pit fruits, and dried spice (evergreen, cinnamon), leading to a warm finish. Intriguing, but lacking polish to garner a higher rating.
Distiller · Distiller Staff
… the initial impression is of a fairly sweet bourbon with vanilla fudge and coconut macaroon … The finish is a bit short, but this bourbon packs a surprising amount of flavor into an approachable and easy drinking whiskey.
