Amber color. Aromas of peanut nougat, cinnamon bun, and marmalade with a medium-full body and a medium-long spice cake, almond croissant filling, and apples finish. A silky smooth satiny Rye for highballs to ease folks into the world of Rye.
IWSC judges · Silver · 2025
Biscuity notes greet the senses, with rich caramel and nutmeg notes emerging. The palate reveals a smooth texture, layered with oak, hints of green apple, and a subtle peppery warmth, leading to a woody finish.

Oak and caramelised cereals to the nose, smooth palate of balsamic notes and sweet spices. Finish is well integrated with woody aspects.
Whisky Advocate · Davin de Kergommeaux · 2019
Slaty minerals, fruitiness, and floral hints on the nose suggest plenty of rye in this satisfying, complex dram. … A bit austere but with toffee sweetness and mild fudge. Mouth-filling, though a bit dry.

Distiller · Stephanie Moreno
The aroma of the whisky is reminiscent of carnival candy and stale vanilla cola. … Sweetness continues on the palate mostly covering the usual spice driven rye notes. This perhaps could be helped by drinking this whisky with club soda.

World Whiskies Awards judges · Silver · 2021
Moving on to the palate there is active wood, dried cranberries, cough syrup, chocolate chip cookies, pine sap and dark cocoa. The finish is like a manhattan cocktail.
