Hints of green apple and almond lead the nose. The palate opens with roasted grain and lemony astringency; adding water releases hints of vanilla custard and buttered toast. Sprightly lemon-pepper and cayenne sparks warm the exit.

What critics and judges wrote
A fabulously thick texture; thank goodness for their insistence on non-chill filtering. It's fruity with twinkling spice, pepper, root ginger, and vanilla orbiting around a fudge-like core. The oak is present on the dry finish.
… it tastes very oaky with cashew nuts and vanilla. … It's a bit overly complicated (in Yiddish "ongepotchket') and sweet for everyday drinking, but it has a pleasant, smooth finish and would work well as a dessert accompaniment.
A floral nose is joined by a prominent vanilla sweetness, ahead of a juicy, orchard fruit-led palate. … The finish is bright and sweet, with lingering orange zest, white pepper and wet burnt wood.

A nose of burnt sugar and sherry cask influence, with a palate of rum and raisin ice cream, chocolate-covered brazil nuts, and a hint of leather. Well-balanced with a medium finish.
Fruity, malty, citrusy on the nose. Large fruity notes come through on the palate, with some melon and mango, and woody hints with black pepper notes. Medium to long aftertaste.
Butterscotch and lemon drizzle cake, with hints of lime peel, sea spray and peaches on the nose … The palate is light and easy with brandy butter, pickled ginger, fresh salmon sashimi and green beans.
