The sweet smoke is the underlying feature in this whisky but the complexity of the dram is what is most enjoyable. … Velvety and indulgent, the whisky finishes on the dry side with mouthwatering acidity.

Product Description
Full-Bodied & Refined A Wild Haromy of Ripe Cherries, Bitter Dark Cocoa, Fresh Honeycomb and Salted Peat Smoke Batched to Perfection At Highland Park we pride ourselves on the complex balance of our whisky, a balance achieved through the careful selection of casks that will marry together perfectly to create our signature flavour and character. For our older whiskies, our Master Whisky Maker works in small batches, selecting from a limited reserve of mature casks just as they reach their peak. This creates intriguing variations from batch to batch, driven by the unique characteristics developed by each cask over a longer maturation period. However, you'll also find a rich thread of consistency in the character of every single batch we release. Once you've got to know our 18 Year Old, why not explore our 21 Year Old, 25 Year Old, or 30 Year Old releases too? Discover a deliciously sophisticated medley of ripe cherries dusted with bittersweet cocoa, freshly harvested honeycomb and candied orange peel; you'll detect a whiskper of Orkney's salty sea spray in the lingering aromatic peat smoke. This full-bodied & refined single malt whisky is a tribute to our five keystones of production. Aromatic peat from Hobbister Moor burns sweetly in our kilns, infusing malted barley by hand on our traditional malting floor. The high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks contribute up to 60% of this whisky's final flavour and provide its rich natural colour, while Orkney's curiously temperate climate provides the ideal environment for cool maturation. Finally, cask harmonisation gives the flavours time to marry and settle before this whisky is bottled. Every whisky from the Highland Park Distillery embodies a wild harmony. It's not just the influence of the finest sherry seasoned oak casks on our whisky as it matures, it's the salty sea winds that batter Orkney's rugged coastlines, the intensely floral character of our treeless but heather-rich peat, and the fiercely independent viking spirit that drives us. These are the elements that go, untamed, into our whisky-making to create a wild harmony of sweet-smoky flavours that is, uniquely, Highland Park.

Inviting aromas of vanilla spice, accompanied by a hint of fragrant wood. The sweet palate reveals layers of cream and coconut, leading into a lingering finish of peppery peat.
Delicate nose with restrained peat and spice that is well balanced with gummy bear sweets, delicate fruit and gravelly smoke on the finish.
Sublimely flavoursome with lashings of ripe honeydew melon, sweet red berries and a generous waft of crackling bonfire smoke. Finishes gloriously with a delectable lingering vein of deep rich malt.
Peated, cask-finished single malt with sweet toffee and fudge flavourings. Fruity aromas with a slight smoke on the palate and on the finish.
Smoke and oak are in perfect balance … The favours on the palate are smoked cherry, light oak (which develops well with time in the mouth), some salty tones and more red stone fruits.
Very well-balanced aroma with sweet sherry notes and smoky nuances. Toffee notes are predominant on the palate and the whisky also has pleasant, extremely well-integrated peat notes. Strong, slightly salty, smoky finish.

Rather fine, elegant nose with fruit and malt nuances, smokiness is clearly in the background, subtle caramel. Also fine and elegant on the palate with remarkable drinkability. Long, harmonious finish with notes of malt and spices.
On the nose there are complex layers of sherry-like sweetness, toasty smoke and tobacco-like wood. Strong on the palate with nuts and roasted pancetta. Long finish with many complex wood notes.
Speyside-like malt sweetness, with creamy caramel, milk chocolate and a subtle saltiness. The palate mirrors the nose, with light floral nuances coming in the aftertaste. A hint of liquorice on the finish.
The smokiness can be described as subtle and adds complexity to the otherwise fruity aroma. Overall, a delicate product that is pleasant in the mouth without many edges.
Christmas warmth in a glass, its maturity showing in complex aromas of baked apple, poached pear, Christmas cake, cinnamon, gingerbread, and cloves … Nimble, spiced, and replete with flavors to treasure.

Gentle peat, soft toffee, floral notes, and honey on the beautifully fragrant nose. Superbly balanced on the velvety palate, with brittle toffee, stewed fruits, peat, honey, and a hint of coffee.
This Scotch is a big boy—look for assertive, brawny flavors and alcohol burn. However, it still has nuance. … The flavor grows more interesting with repeated sips—piquant peaty notes are joined by deep, complex toffee.

Opening aromas are of sea breeze, cigar smoke, oak and malted barley; … Entry is the most complex of any whisky; midpalate soars on oak, spirit and grain tastes. The greatest distilled spirit of this generation. Buy whatever you can find.
On the nose, there’s a hint of brine together with notes of sweet popcorn, BBQ ribs, sweet apple pie and brown sugar. The BBQ ribs note continues on the palate with added hints of beef jerky, salted caramel and chocolate.
