As people go, George Smith was no ordinary man. After he licensed his whisky in 1824, he battled against all odds and established his smooth fruity Glenlivet as the definitive taste of Speyside. What George started continues to inspire our makers to create whiskies that are enjoyed by all far and wide. Allow your eyes to be drawn to this deep gold hue, then lose yourself in aromas of citrus and cinnamon spice. Creamy and rich, a portion of the whisky is finished in limousin oak delivering lingering notes of toasted almond. Nose: Rich and buttery with sweet fruit aromas. Palate: Round, sweet, incredibly smooth, fruity and nutty flavours. A gentle cinnamon spiciness. Finish: Lingering, sweet almond and spice.

Don't dilute this light, gentle Scotch too much. Enjoy the honeyed, fresh tropical fruit aromas and mouthwatering vanilla and almond flavors with a hint of smoke and spice on the finish. Light body. Good value.

For this particular whisky, finishing some of the whisky in new French oak barrels adds depth, dried spice (vanilla, clove) and pleasing dryness to the Glenlivet profile.

Malty with light wood and a hint of orange zest, the aroma is somewhat youthful. Tobacco and tea, plus oak notes give the palate a rather soft style. Medium finish.
