A purposeful illustration of how barrel maturation imparts a lasting impression on a whiskey year after year -- this twenty-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey begins with a smoky nose, translating into ripe apples and rich vanilla oak taste and concludes with a full finish of dried fruits. Subsequent limited releases of this explorative whiskey will be released each year from the remaining maturing cask. At Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Co., we pride ourselves in rescuing lost barrels of rare and delicious whiskey, hidden away and long forgotten in the back of rickhouses. While we take craft and quality seriously, we had a little fun bringing these extraordinary whiskeys to life with each of our marques. Every Orphan Barrel Bourbon Whiskey is hand bottled in Tullahoma, to ensure that these rare whiskeys are treated with the care they deserve -- because once they're gone, they're gone forever.

Lovely nose, but there's substantial oak on the palate. The sweeter notes make an effort to balance the oak, but the oak still dominates. For these who like drier, spicier bourbon.
