Bacon and kippers, iodine, and ripe pear were first to rise to the occasion. Salt & pepper are next up with sweet malty cereal replacing the fruit. … The finish is dry which intensifies the peat.

Product Description
TALISKER is the only Single Malt Scotch Whisky made on the Isle of Skye beside the shore of Loch Harport in the jagged shadow of the peaks of The Cuillin. Founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill, TALISKER distillery remains faithful to traditional values. A hundred and eighty years of knowledge has been passed down through generations of distillers. The result is this much prized whisky, described by famous Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson as the "the king o' drinks." Made by the sea in every sense, the powerful peat smoke and maritime character of TALISKER reflect its storm-lashed surroundings. Beneath the deep and stormy peat smoke character of TALISKER lies a rich dried fruit sweetness, followed by a satisfying peppery finish. Superb with smoked salmon and brown bread. What critics and judges wrote
Intriguing hints of sherry cask on the nose. The palate bursts with vibrant peach and juicy pineapple, that seamlessly blend with baked orchard fruits and dried raisins. It finishes with a balanced, peppery warmth, leaving a delightful impression.

A nose reveals bonfire smoke and hints of passion fruit, leading to a rich, malty palate with earthy peat and a balanced interplay of chilli and white pepper.
The mix of peat smoke and subtle sweetness is reminiscent of caramelized nuts and smoked almonds on the nose. The palate is lined with dried fruit (especially figs and pears) … Well done!

Tobacco smoke, peat with a sherry touch, plus maritime-medicinal notes result in a unique typicity. Mineral on the palate with a fine fruity note and buffered wood. Fresh finish.
A medicinal nose with fresh peat. These notes are also immediately vivid on the palate, but are softened by a clear malt sweetness. Some fruit on the finish, then roasted smoke again.
The piquant nose offers immediate and stunning notes of sea salt, peat reek and black pepper; … then at midpalate the peaty iodine character kicks in. Finishes well as it gives off fiery, peaty/tobacco-like flavors.
