The Legend The Dalmore's heritage dates back to 1263, when an ancestor of the Clan Mackenzie, owners of The Dalmore distillery for over a century, bravely saved King Alexander III of Scotland from the fury of a raging stag. From this day, the indebted Monarch granted the Mackenies the right to bear a twelve pointed, Royal Stag's head in their coat fo arms. This striking icon has since adorned each bottle of The Dalmore, symbolising The Dalmore distillery's regal legacy. The Dalmore 25 Matured initially in American white oak, this rare whiskey is then carefully divided into hand-sourced 25 year old sweet Palomino Fino sherr butts and 1980 first fill bourbon casks. These exceptional whiskies are then expertly married together in bourbon barrels before being transferred, for the first time into Tawny Port pipes from Portugal, for an outstanding triple wood finish. For over 150 years, The Dalmore has set the standard in multi-cask maturation. Hand selected casks from the world's finest bodegas and wineries are expertly curated to create a sumptuous and layered whiskey of legendsary finesse. THE AROMA: Exotic fruits, citrus, vanilla pods, treacle toffee and fig cake. ON THE PALATE: Madagascan vanilla pods, thick treacle toffee and chocolate truffles. FINISHING NOTES: Maple syrup, dark chocolate and spiced gingerbread.
