The sweet, enticing aroma bursts with dried fruit. Those notes are echoed on the robust palate, showing dried apricot, booze-soaked golden raisins and vanilla flavors that lead into a gentle nutty, gingery finish.

What critics and judges wrote
Dried cherry, orange peel, and red fruits on the nose … It's thick and mouth coating, with toffee, fig, nutty chocolate, pepper, oak char, bitter cacao, and dark cherry.
It's silky smooth upfront, with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and milk chocolate, and finishing with almond and floral notes. It's a pleasure to sip, and a bargain for the price.
Winey, chocolatey, smooth, with rich spices and some depth. A touch of fig syrup, cornflour custard and Angel Delight. There’s a little hint of dryness, but it’s balanced. Like mid-afternoon on Christmas Day.

Clear flavour profile of vanillian oaksy notes honey spice and butter filling mouth feel with plenty of subtle heat the alcohol is well integrated leaving no harshness and long juicy finish.
On the palate, the flavours of coffee and dark chocolate intertwine with caramel and spices, creating an expressive and layered experience. … resulting in a nice medium-bodied expression with a slight alcohol lift.
The whisky presents with vanilla and gentle fruit notes. The grain flavour is intense and pleasant, contrasting with a subtler oak presence. An elegant blend of grain and oak is noticeable, though the alcohol sharpness is pronounced.
A great array of aromas and flavours reveal themselves here: orchard fruits, like apple and pear, but also a candy-esque sweetness … together with the malty notes, caramel and vanilla, and a lot of ex-bourbon cask character.
