Product Description

The Robin Redbreast is the only bird which sings continuously throughout the dark Irish winters and is one of the very few small birds that choose to winter in Ireland. It is this enduring spirit which inspires its namesake, Redbreast Irish Whiskey. Regarded as the definitive expression of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, Redbreast epitomises a style of whiskey that is crafted without compromise; a whiskey steeped in the traditions of fermentation, distillation, maturation, blending and bottling. Redbreast 18 year old is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barely and then triple distilled in copper pot stills. Having spent its maturation journey in bourbon barrels and casks seasoned with the finest Oloroso sherry, cream sherry and Ruby Port, this Redbreast is whiskey to savour with each and every sip. Tasting Notes Nose: Delectable berry fruit aromas of ripe blackcurrants and raspberries accompanied by sugar glazed cherries and dried fig. Indulgent tones of hazelnut chocolate and caramelized stone fruits with warming and fragrant notes of toasted almonds and cinnamon, nestled alongside polished oak and worn leather. Taste: Full-bodied and rounded, with the oak tannins complementing the decadent sweetness of sun-kissed grapes and autumnal fruits. Vibrant spices of freshly peeled ginger and hints of liquorice weave amongst the wine seasoned oak influences of dried fruits, dark berries and orange peel. Finish: Rich and lasting. The pot still spices, fruit and oak slowly fade harmoniously, showcasing the balance of this wonderfully complex whiskey.

Captivating aromas of custard tarts, spiced shortbread, and tangy apples. Rich and oily, the palate reveals dark chocolate-dipped Seville orange and a burst of cinnamon. The finish is mouth-filling, with a caramel sweetness, festive spice, and attractive nutty undertones.

A nose of vibrant chilli and clove, leading to a sweet, robust palate where toffee and ginger mingle with pepper, rose, and wood spice. The finish is dry, with a soft, well-balanced, lingering warmth.
Whisky Advocate · Jonny McCormick · 2024
The nose is luxuriously appealing, with milk chocolate, maraschino cherry, bramble, black currant, Nutella, baked citrus, apricot, mango, oak spices, toasted nuts, and cinnamon bark. Smooth and polished on the palate …

Distiller · Stephanie Moreno
The aroma is rich with dates, orange peel, vanilla, and nutty barley. … It's fairly full (medium plus) on the palate and soft. … While not dessert-style, would certainly put it in the nightcap category. Crowd-pleasing and fairly priced.

Aromas and flavors of clove, burnt sugar, dried cherry, and creme caramel … A roller coaster of a Single Pot Still with harmoniously balanced sweet, savory, and spicy notes; a delightful sipper.

On the nose flapjacks - syrup and oats and the palate has very subtle hints of fruit with a relatively gentle spice and black pepper note which leads into a lovely spicey finish.
