While the tasty palate comprises fresh green apple, pear, citrus fruits, vanilla, boiled candies, and an appealing lift of spice, this would be tastier still with a bit more weight behind it.
This honey-colored whiskey needs a lot of time in the glass to aerate, allowing a resin-y aroma to dissipate, leaving a ginger ale-like sweet scent. On the palate, astringency nearly masks the red fruit and caramel flavors.
