The sweet and smoky notes are reminiscent of grilled, caramelised pineapple. A rather savoury style on the palate with black pepper and light tobacco. The finish is again slightly exotic.
The fruitiness on the nose with relatively sweet hints of grape and apple in honey is supported by subtle savouriness. A mild attack on the palate, then a slight saltiness and mild pepper.
Spicier and darker than their blend, this delivers heather honey, banana peel, cashew, pepper, ground coriander, and bay leaf. Quite light-bodied and delicate to begin with, but the Cognac cask adds fruitiness and greater complexity.
The nose starts with a promise of a luscious and rich palate. Reminiscent of sweet wine and marmalade. The palate has some spicy and nutty flavours … It is an elegant and focused whiskey.
Pungent and aromatic start on the nose. Full of character. … The palate is very complex with sweet and sour flavours of muscat grapes, vanilla, kiwi and dried citrus peel.
