It offers strong grain character, with notes of vanilla, hay, and white pepper. It's nicely spicy on the finish, with a subtle sweetness and weighty mouthfeel. This single pot still whiskey bodes well for things to come from Teeling.
Like rum and raisin ice cream, the nose is mellow, gently spiced and with some gentle oak. The palate offers apricot, green fruits, and easy citrus zest. Easy sipping, blackcurrants and fresh ginger hold on through the finish.
Short notes of liquorice on the nose with a hint of tobacco. The palate offers honey with a barley twist, and there are some white peppery, liquorice notes. The finish is short and quite limited in terms of flavour.
